๐ Market & Shop
A basic guide โ how to sell companions, take buyer requests, and run the shop.
Start here
Two businesses under one roof
The Market in the game has two top-level tabs:
-
๐พ Companions โ sell dogs for coins. Has two sub-tabs:
๐ฐ Sell (instant sales, trends, news) and
๐งพ Requests (buyer cards). Unlocks at Player Level 7.
-
๐๏ธ Shop โ run a small retail counter. Stock, customers, staff,
and the only star rating in the game. Unlocks at Player Level 2.
The Shop opens first, so it's your introduction to the Market. Companions is a
mid-game unlock โ by the time you reach it you'll already know how the game works.
๐พ Selling a companion
To sell a dog, three things need to be true:
- 100% tamed โ use ๐ Treat on the dog's action card
- 100% bathed โ use ๐ Wash on the dog's card or in the Groom tab
- Healthy โ not hungry, aggressive, or sick
Dogs that pass all three appear in the Companions โ ๐ฐ Sell list
with a price. Tap Sell and the coins are yours.
Training is optional โ but it pays. Taming and bathing get a dog
sold. Training it at the ๐พ Training Academy adds a bonus to the
price, and some breeds can learn an advanced specialty
(Police K-9, Service Dog, Tracking, Herdingโฆ). Fully-trained specialists are the
most valuable dogs in the game. Check the small recipe hints on any buyer request
to see exactly what's wanted.
๐งพ Buyer requests
The ๐งพ Requests sub-tab shows up to five buyers who want a specific
dog. Every card tells you exactly what the buyer wants โ and thanks to a small
๐ Needs / ๐ก How recipe under each one, the exact steps to
produce that dog.
Two kinds of buyer
-
Regular buyers โ want a lineage, a minimum level, some
training, and often a trait or a haircut.
-
Specialist buyers (blue border, SPECIALIST badge) โ want one
specific breed with one specific advanced specialty. They pay the most.
Requests change every 3 minutes. Nothing is lost by ignoring one โ
the next batch just replaces it.
๐๏ธ Running the shop
The basic loop:
-
Open the shop once a day. If a whole day rolls over with the shop
closed, you get a bad review.
-
Serve customers as they arrive. Accept offers you can fill.
Rejecting or letting them expire gives a bad review.
-
Restock any shelf that hits 0. Two suppliers, four items each.
-
Accept service packages when you can afford the staff cost โ they
pay out on completion (a few visits later).
-
Run ads (750๐ช) only when you're well stocked โ otherwise new
customers arrive and leave bad reviews because you can't serve them.
The shop runs itself in the background while you're on the meadow or elsewhere.
The star rating at the top of the tab shows how well it's going.
Returns. About 1 in 7 product sales comes back a minute later โ the
buyer wants a refund. Refunding keeps the review good but returns the stock to you.
Refusing keeps the coins but gives a bad review. Try to keep a small coin cushion
for refunds.
๐ก Tips
- Check trends before you sell. One lineage is "hot" every 3 minutes โ it pays more.
- Specialists pay the best. A fully-trained German Shepherd with Police K-9 will earn more than any regular-sale dog.
- Style adds value. A Little Crown plus a Royal Cut adds a few hundred coins to a high-level dog.
- Crossbreeds earn +15% on direct sales. Merge only with another identical crossbreed to keep the bonus.
- Pitbulls get banned occasionally. If the news feed says so, wait it out โ don't sell.
- Opening the shop takes 5 seconds. Don't skip it โ a closed day tanks your rating.
- Service packages are the shop's best income โ especially the 5-visit lessons package.
โ Quick questions
Why can't I sell this dog?
It's not 100% tamed, not 100% bathed, unhealthy, in the Vet, a wolf, or a Pitbull
during a ban.
Why aren't any customers arriving?
Shop is closed, or you already have 4 waiting, or you just opened it (the first
customer can take up to 90 seconds).
Do I have to open the shop every day?
Yes โ but only briefly. Toggle it open once per day; it stays open after that.
What if I miss a request?
Nothing happens. The next batch replaces it on the 3-minute rotation.
